London. Udeep Rai has been elected as the President of the UK Center, the UK branch of the Nepal Engineers Association.
The branch's virtual general meeting held on Sunday has selected a new 13-member working committee led by Rai.
The Vice President of the Branch is Ram Raja Rawal, General Secretary - Indu Rai, Secretary - Mim Jugjali, Treasurer - Pooja Gurung, Co-Treasurer - Nitu Sharma and members are Dipesh Rai, Sagar Gurung, Udesh Dewan, Om Thapa, Divas Gurung, Avinash Joshi and Himal Gurung.
The working committee has young engineers and 40 percent women.
The newly-elected president says that the association aims to provide a platform for engineers to build networks, support student engineers and work with other Nepali organizations in the UK.
The newly elected committee was sworn in by Tejendra Rokamagar, Founder Chairman of the Center and Treasurer of Non-Resident Nepali Association UK.
The center has been operating in the UK for several years as a branch of the Nepal Engineers Association in Nepal.
लण्डन । नेपाल इन्जिनियर्स एसोसिएसनको युके शाखाका रुपमा रहेको युके केन्द्रको अध्यक्षमा उदीप राई निर्वाचित भएका छन् ।
शाखाको आइतबार सम्पन्न भर्चुअल साधारण सभाले राईको नेतृत्वमा १३ सदस्सीय नयाँ कार्यसमिति चयन गरेको हो ।
शाखाको उपाध्यक्षमा राम राजा रावल, महासचि इन्दु राई, सचिव मिम जुग्जाली, कोषाध्यक्ष पूजा गुरुङ, सहकोषाध्यक्षा नितु शर्मा र सदस्यहरुमा दिपेश राई, सागर गुरुङ, उदेश देवान, ओम थापा, दिवस गुरुङ, अविनाश जोशी र हिमाल गुरुङ रहेका छन् ।
कार्यसमितिमा युवा इन्जिनियरहरु रहेका छन् भने ४० प्रतिशत महिलाहरुको सहभागिता छ ।
एसोसिएसनले इन्जिनियरहरुलाई सन्जाल बनाउनका मन्च प्रदान गर्ने, विद्यार्थी इन्जिनियरहरुलाई सघाउने र बेलायतमा रहेका अन्य नेपाली संघसंस्थाहरुसित मिलेर काम गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको नवनिर्वाचित अध्यक्ष राईले वीनेपालीलाई बताए ।
नवनिर्वाचित समितिलाई सो केन्द्रका संस्थापक अध्यक्ष तथा गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघ युकेका कोषाध्यक्ष तेजेन्द्र रोकामगरले सपथ गराएका थिए ।
नेपालमा रहेको नेपाल इन्जिनियर्स एसोसिएसनकाे शाखाका रुपमा केही वर्षदेखि सो केन्द्र बेलायतमा कार्यरत रहँदै आएको छ ।
